I made a simple foot bridge to cross our small creek. It’s two cedar poles about 10′ long with 2″ thick cedar boards screwed into the poles.

I needed some more saw horses and found this design on youtube.com. I added a 2″x 6″ on the very top instead of a 2″x 4″. They work great!
We were running low on bar soap so Sarah made another batch. You can read more about our recipe, here. After the bars have setup for a day she cuts and stacks the bars for further drying. Then, after a few more weeks she takes a vegetable peeler and shaves the edges off the bars

Our turnips were damaged a little bit by temperatures in the teens, but they had bounced back before Sarah recently pulled them all. We like to bake them for an hour at 350 degrees in a greased Pyrex dish with carrots, onion, parsnips, potatoes and any other root crop for an amazing supper. Sarah sometimes
