I’ve had to do quite a lot of repairs on our Stanley CH7 Chipper since we bought it new in 2015 from Lowe’s. A couple years ago we bought another Stanley CH7 off of Facebook Marketplace that was lightly used. The intention was to use one as a parts machine.
Since buying the 2nd chipper I’ve learned that the chipper’s engine is a Chinese clone of a Honda GX270 engine. Inexpensive parts for these Chinese clones of Hondas (‘Chondas’ as I’ve heard them called) are readily available online. The chipper’ s engine is 270cc, but inexpensive ‘Chondas’ are made for many other Honda engine sizes, as well as Chinese replacement parts. There are also Chinese clones of older Stihl and Husqvarna chainsaw designs. I’m not really a big fan of buying cheap Chinese parts, but many times the price difference is tremendous.
