Spring Has Sprung! April Garden Update

The greenhouse is doing a great job of growing lettuce, arugula and radishes (in the corner that you can’t see). We also have our pepper and tomato seedlings back outside.  They’ve been travelling between our house and the greenhouse a few times this spring due to the warm days but freezing nights.
Harvesting radishes in the greenhouse. These will all be harvested soon and we will probably put turmeric or peppers in for the summer.
Baby pears! We planted our fruit trees (2 peaches that both died, 3 pears, and 5 apples) in the early spring of 2015 and we FINALLY have fruit! We don’t know what the heck we’re doing right or wrong, but we sure will be pleased to pick some fruits this summer.
Irish potatoes look great.  They have been bitten by frost twice, but are well established enough to be able to survive. These are in our 16 foot long bed and are thriving.
We planted strawberries last year and they look great this year with dozens of blossoms that are not visible in this picture. These are the everbearing variety in a 12 foot long bed.
