… the second best time is now. In April we invested in 10 new fruit trees: 5 apple, 3 pear and 2 peach. We were supposed to pick any young fruit off so that root growth would take priority for the first two years, but we left this peach growing. And another peach. And just one pear. It’s torture to throw away baby fruits! We sure are looking forward to potential bushels of fruit in a few years. I suspect we’ll get really good at brewing hard cider 🙂 .
