We have finished building two large mulch basins for our grey water system. Our kitchen sink drain feeds the mulch basin pictured below and a much larger mulch basin is for the shower and washing machine drains.
Our toothpaste, deodorant, soaps and cleaning supplies are made by us so they don’t contain the harsh chemicals of many store bought products.
The toilet waste is composted and is never introduced into the mulch basins.

| Pictured above is a partially filled mulch basin. The kitchen drain uses gravity to empty into a 1′ deep much basin. An inverted plastic pot with small drain holes drilled into the side is what the drain terminates into. |
