The pole barn is about as finished as it is going to be for a while. It measures 24 feet wide by 16 deep with a 12 by 16 foot loft. For the time being it is mainly for drying lumber.
The barn is stacked with 3 pines and 1 poplar tree. They are milled into 1 or 2 inch slabs that will be cut into dimensional lumber for building the workshop and other construction projects. Whatever couldn’t be milled is cut and stacked for firewood.
The trees are harvested from an area at the back of the property that will become another garden. The house that will be built back here is going to be close to this future garden.
